Larry D. Tusoni Larry is a second generation fly rod maker, continuing the tradition started by his father, Nicholas P. Tusoni, and uncle, Patrick S. Tusoni in central Massachusetts and later, Northern Vermont. Larry started making split-bamboo rods with them in the early 1960s. When not making rods or fishing, Larry & wife Lynda are probably showing their Champion Samoyeds (Denali's website, Chamonix's website and Lhotse's website), or making wine. |

Chuck A. Irvine Chuck has been repairing bamboo rods since he was a teenager, and has been making split-bamboo rods since the early 1980s. Chuck has been fishing bamboo in Alaska for 30 years and is probably the only fly fisherman to fish all of the Line and Phoenix atolls of the central Pacific and many of the atolls of the Marshall Islands and always with a bamboo rod in tow. Sadly, Chuck passed away on November 2019. RIP Chuck! |
